Sailor Moon X Colourpop Collection Review, Try On + Chat

I know this review might seem “old news” because this collection was first announced in February 2020 and then it was re-released in July of 2020, but because of logistics and other factors – I have received my Sailor Moon X Colourpop Collection only a few weeks ago. I was so excited for this collection because it is pure nostalgia for me.

Sailor Moon has been part of my formative years, especially in High School and this anime has taught me many things. Things like: the importance of friendships, the importance of having courage, to accept one’s destiny, to find strength in oneself and in others – not failing to mention the extensive research I went through about the planets of our solar system and the mythology behind each planet. Let’s not even start about those magical transformation of Sailor Moon and the Sailor Scouts, which I have done by the way, by attaching long strips of crepe paper on the tip of a barbecue stick and twirling around at the school gym with some of my friends. Do take note that I went to an all boys catholic school. So, what a sight it must have been.

Although I have outgrown the Sailor Moon franchise, this anime manages to pop up in my life sporadically. Most recently, with the reboot of the Anime in in 2014 and news of a new Sailor Moon film to be released in 2021, it manages to linger around my orbit – even after 14 long years.

So when Colourpop announced in that they were restocking the Sailor Moon collection last July – I knew I should not let this opportunity pass me by. I am so glad to be able to share my joy with you through my latest video.

As of press time, the Sailor Moon Collection is still available on the Colourpop website – some items are discounted. Do check it out at https://colourpop.com/products/sailor-moon-makeup-collection

Sailor Moon Miracle Romance Cutie Mood Rod Eyeliner

My Sailor Moon Miracle Romance Cutie Mood Rod Eyeliner from Bandai Namco made an appearance in this video. This was an unopened eyeliner that I have kept in storage since 2015. I had no intention of using this EVER and I was just keeping it for posterity. But, while I was making this video, I made a split second decision to use it – I don’t have to explain why.  *laughs* I am happy to report that I did not develop any rash or irritation from using this eyeliner. Please don’t follow in my footsteps! It’s always better to be safe than sorry! I am not sure if this eyeliner is still in production. After going through Amazon, I saw a few sellers selling this for $50. It has become a collectible.

The products I am using has worked for me and it might not necessarily work for you. Always be discerning when purchasing cosmetics or skin care products. Always read the label and the literature! Always do a patch test before you purchase a product for the first time to see that you are not allergic to any of the ingredients listed.

This video/post is not sponsored. The products that are shown here are the products that I always use, love and live by.

The videos and pictures were shot using an Iphone 11.
