Aloe Vera As Moisturizer

Yes, I am running out of skin care products. I am currently “quarantine-ing” in my provincial home in the island of Marinduque. There are no malls here and the drug store only has a very limited array of products to choose from. Although delivery is an option, delivery service here is a capricious flirt. You’ll never know when you are going to get “it”.

I have been “pacing” the use of my skin care products for the past week. I have now regulated to use them at night only. Thankfully I have not had any major breakouts since I have “adjusted” my usage.’

One day, while talking with friends over Facebook messenger – I had an AHA! moment”. I decided to use Aloe Vera as my moisturizer.

I have had tried this as a treatment for sunburn. My grandmother used to apply this on my shoulders after a trip to the beach. She had a lot of them in her small garden, and she’d just pluck a leaf from one of her plants. This was in the mid 80’s, sunscreen and its benefits was not yet widely “known”.

My plan of using Aloe Vera as a moisturizer “solidified” when I remembered that one of the key ingredients of The Tree of Life Beauty Vitaminc C Serum and Hyaluronic Acid Serum is Aloe leaf juice. So I went for it – and I was not disappointed. To read my blog and see my video about The Tree of Life Beauty Vitaminc C Serum and Hyaluronic Acid Serum, click here.

My skin is plump and radiant. That tingling sensation I felt on my beard area disappeared within a few minutes, and as of this writing (which was done the day after filming), I have not had any adverse effects nor have I developed ingrown hairs. I actually let my partner try applying Aloe Vera on his face to help his skin from sun exposure and he actually said he liked the effect it had on his skin.

As I was reading about Aloe Vera, I bumped into this article that talks about the benefits of using it for skin care. Read about it here.

Sometimes when in need, Mother Nature can help – and it might just be found in your back yard.

Let me say that I am not a dermatologist, if you have any more questions about using this as a skin care treatment, ask one. The products I am using has worked for me and it might not necessarily work for you. Always be discerning when purchasing cosmetics or skin care products. Always read the label and the literature! Always do a patch test before you purchase a product for the first time to see that you are not allergic to any of the ingredients listed.

This video/post is not sponsored. The products that are shown here are the products that I always use, love and live by.

The videos and pictures were shot using an Iphone 11.
