Usually for casting calls, it’s advised to wear light makeup because the casting agent and advertising agencies want to see a talent in his / her natural state. Often times, some models go to casting calls with heavy makeup on; to the point that they don’t match their photos . Unfortunately they get passed on because of this.
The reason why you should come to a casting call “au naturel” is because the creative head will “see” if you’d be able to fill in the character “acting” wise. Styling, hair and makeup will come after to help bring that character to life.
Here’s a short video on how I create a makeup look when I am called in for a casting call.
This only happens once in a blue moon.

Let me say that the products I am using has worked for me and it might not necessarily work for you. Always be discerning when purchasing cosmetics or skin care products. Always read the label and the literature! Always do a patch test before you purchase a product for the first time to see that you are not allergic to any of the ingredients listed.
This video is not sponsored. The products that are shown here are the products that I always use, love and live by.
