I was commissioned to do the hair and makeup for the latest campaign for Seek The Uniq entitled “Word On The Street”.
This holiday collection is about statement pieces that make “trekking the concrete jungle and urban adventure.”
This collection is about Volume, Prints, Stripes, and Color.
As suggested by the Chief Stylist, Anne, the eyes were to sport a smokey violet look. With a damp brush, I applied a solid wash of color unto Karina’s lids and to enhance her eyes. The eye shadow was from Nars. Unfortunately, I can’t remember its name because I transferred it to a palette and I could not find the notes for that specific palette! If I do find it, I will re-edit this entry.
I added cake eyeliner on the upper and lower lash line which I smudged to create a soft smoky appearance. I added a hint of black eyeshadow at the outer corner of her eyes for a bit of definition. I did not add lashes because Karina already had eyelash extensions. I matched the lip color to Karina’s lips. This way all the attention was concentrated on her eyes.
I kept Karina’s skin fresh by matching the color of the foundation to her skin using Bobbi Brown’s BBU Palette. It’s my go to palette when I am working with a woman of color. Click here to read my blog about it.

I met Janella Salvador on the day of our shoot. I have never met her before that and I was a bit nervous. It was coupled by the fact that I had to had regional approval to get this job. So it was a big deal.
But all of that nervousness was set aside when she started singing while Janet, the hair stylist, and I was doing her hair and makeup. She placed us in a very relaxed atmosphere.
This was the print shoot for Olay Natural White.
There was a very strict hair and makeup requirement that had to be followed. And one must abide. Less is always more.
I managed to bump into her print ad on line and it dawned on me that this photoshoot made it to the Olay Billboard that she starred along side Pia Wurtzbach and Charo Santos.
Here are some photos of Janella linked from my Instagram Page.

After scouring my photo album of the past year, I finally found some #BehindTheScenes photos of the #shoot I did with #JanellaSalvador . The photos are pretty grainy because of the lighting , but she still manages to glow. I love this very #Natural #NoMakeupLook I did on her. It made her beauty shine through. | #MakeupByTorTorre | #Hair by @jannet_saberon07 |

This campaign features pairings of saturated hues and bold patterns which was shot on the 21st floor of the 8 Rockwell building. Photos are by Bliss Mabini.
Here are some photos of the beautiful Rosalinde. Hands down, one of the most beautiful faces I have ever seen. I love the 60’s vibe of her face and her skin has an beautiful tonal quality that holds are refracts light beautifully. She has such amazing piercing light gray-blue eyes and that is framed by her gorgeous bone structure. She moves with such natural grace that belies the fact that she only does modeling part-time!
It was a good day.
