Finally so happy to be able to add some Koyomo brushes to my colection. Take not that Koyomo brushes are Kawajiri Fude. it might be a lesser known than Kumano Fude BUT they are at PAR with each other.
Kawajiri is also located in Hiroshima – it is at least 40 minutes further from Kumano on the same train line. It is also where the other Kawajiri Fude brand Bunshindou is made. So, this town is actually on my travel list the next time I go to Fude Matsuri.
What attracted me most to the brand Koyomo is the use of vintage Goat hair. Yes, the brush heads uses fibers that were collected in the 70’s. It’s vintage and super soft. More of that on my vlog!
