There have been times when I do a smokey eye, most women I work with always ask for a nude lip. 90% of the time. Always. However, there are a few women who are not afraid to play with their lip color and WORK it.
This short video shows that you CAN wear a smokey eye and pair it a light lip, a red lip or a dark lip. Though the smokey eye – nude lip combo is a standard in the industry, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the norm.
Always delve into your personality and find that confidence. That security in your own persona to know that you can wear what ever look that you want.
Life is too short, always play with your look. Do not be that woman who gets stuck in one look forever.
Personally, I believe that smokey eye is too intense of a look to wear on a daily basis. There are a few women I know though who do wear this on a daily basis (yes Gayle, I’m talking about you! *laughs*) and I applaud such women. In my humble opinion, there are certain occasions that befit this look, always make it an opportunity to play with your eye makeup. If you don’t like it, you can always remove it. After all it’s just makeup.
