My interest with retinol started when my core nightly skin care products became unavailable due to the pandemic. As I am largely a person who is difficult to sway to try other products, it was only when I didn’t really have a choice that I decided to take the plunge.

I found this retinol essence at Matsumoto Kiyoshi, a Japanese drug store in Osaka. In a split second decision, I just went for it! I knew that Japanese skin care had gentler formulations and were largely effective, but most of all affordable. So happy with the results.
