Happy Fude Matsuri day to each and every Fude Lover out there! I have enjoyed the company of Yachiyo brushes since 2011 and I have been a fan of it ever since I saw Scott Barnes use it in one of his videos YEARS ago. That made me realize that, I could use it for contemporary makeup. When I see these brushes being used by Geisha or Kabuki actors in documentaries, it gives the Yachiyo brush a different dimension. I just had to have them.

Everytime I use my Yachiyo brushes, they get so much attention. Which I understand because, I also got to enamored by it the first time I saw it.

Hyakusuke Yachiyo Brush

The brushes I bought here might be OEM. I have an idea which brush maker created them, well maybe. I cannot confirm yet. Hyakusuke is a century old cosmetics shop that supplies Kabuki actors and Geisha with makeup in the Asakusa District of Tokyo. I am not sure if they are still in business as of this time because I have not visited them since 2011 and they do not seem to have an online presence.
