Naiiyak ako! Finally , after 5 long years. It has been paid off. | There have been times within those 5 years I have thought of giving up my #car because , checks don’t really arrive 60 days after completing a job. I had 3 jobs I did a year ago, and I still have not been paid. It is worth 6 months of car payments. And frankly, food, makeup and travels come first! | But I hustled for my dues and it feels so good. | Having a car taught me about break fluids, lubes (pun intended), different gasoline types. I have learned to be more patient, learned to understand the importance planning ahead, and I have enjoyed two-hour phone conversations with friends while stuck in traffic. | Sa totoo lang, I have commuted all my life and getting a car was not a goal for me... not until I became a makeup artist. Dami kasing bagahe. | Now I can breathe easier and start saving up for further education.

Today’s #scent is an old favorite. I have been wearing this on and off since college (circa 18 years ago). Nakita ko shang naka sale sa Duty Free a few weeks ago, kaya pikit mata ko shang binili. Medyo may kamahalan din sha. I love scents, and the reason why I enjoy Bvlgari Au Thé Blanc is because the base note of White Tea makes me feel crisp and clean. It is because of this quality na minsan tinatanong ako kung anung baby powder ang ginagamit ko. I usually wear this when the weather is warm kasi the woody notes, the spices and musk become more pronounced + They agree with my body’s chemistry. What I enjoy with perfumes is mixing them together to create my own unique twist on a bottled scent. Kapag trip ko, I mix in a spritz or two of Clinque Happy for Men. May konting citrus notes kasi ang Au Thé Blanc, kaya na e-enhance sha nang Happy. The scent becomes brighter. Minsan, when I go out at night, I mix this with Thierry Mugler’s A*Men. The notes of coffee, tonka and patchouli from A*Men deepens the personality of Au Thé Blanc making it darker... sexier. The bottle design is still the same, pero ngayon Gold na ang takip. Dati kasi silver sha. Di ko lang sure kung may design difference in correlation to the bottle size. This is marketed as a “unisex” scent. So anyone can actually wear this.

That’s you on my earphones! | At hindi po turban yang suot ko, it’s called an Udeng, a Balinese head cloth worn by men. Putting on an Udeng is a reminder to be aware of one’s spiritual state and to control one’s thoughts, words and deeds.
