Finally! I got to try out the Fude that I got from the outlet while I was at Fude Matsuri this year!

During this time, a number of Fude manufacturers in Kumano bring out their outlet brushes. These brushes are those that did not pass the quality check set by the respective companies. Hence, most of the time, you will not see the name of the brand stamped/printed on the handles. If ever a brand is stamped on the brush, it’s either an over run of an “order” or the said order was cancelled last minute or the flaw was seen at the last minute or it was a trail run of a brush design. It is actually quite interesting.

Most of the brushes that I am using are face brushes from Chikuhodo and Koyudo. And I was amazingly surprised to see that they actually worked very well, despite some flaws in the design.
